What is the coffee house?
A place for OSU students to study during the day: the coffee house is an incredible place for students to come before, between and after class to grab a cup of coffee and study. the coffee house is perfectly equipped with electrical sockets in large number and free wifi.
An attractive alternative to The Strip: the coffee house provides students and the community with an alternative to the establishments on The Strip. the coffee house offers live music night with a different atmosphere.
Serving the world one cup at a time: Each month all proceeds from purchases at the coffee house are donated to various ministries and mission points around the globe. For example, in the month of September all proceeds go to His Nets, a Christian response to the global malaria epidemic in Africa.
How is the coffee house staffed?
the coffee house is run solely by volunteers. In addition to church members of all ages, since its opening many patrons have requested the opportunity to work the coffee house.
How has the coffee house been received by the OSU community?
Students are very enthused about the coffee house. In addition to the proximity to campus and the friendly atmosphere, the comments most often received from students relate to the opportunity it provides to participate in the global economy and impact those less fortunate around the world. More than anything else, this aspect of the ministry is the drawing card for the globally-minded university community.
